Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has made Krzysztof Piatek his No.1 target for the January transfer window, according to the Express.
The striker has been in great form for Genoa with nine goals from seven Serie A games and recently scored for Poland against Portugal in a UEFA Nations League clash.
The 23-year-old joined Genoa at the start of the season and even bagged four goals against Lecce in the Coppa Italia.
The report claims the forward would cost £40million and a number of clubs are interested in him. Juventus, Roma, Bayern Munich, Napoli, Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona are all keeping tabs on the 23-year-old.
The report even adds that Genoa are thinking of slapping a £60m price-tag to ensure the Pole stays at the club.
Giorgio Perinetti, the Genoa chief, was quoted by the Express as saying:
“We should absolutely exclude possibility of Piatek being sold in January.
“He can improve even more so it’s hard to imagine the parameters and set his valuation now.”
Gabriele Giuffrida, the player’s agent, claimed there was interest from a number of teams, including Napoli.
Piatek is hot property from the Serie A and the report adds that Sarri is certain the Pole will help his team score more goals.
