Maurizio Sarri making Roman Abramovich’s “fall in love” with Chelsea again

Maurizio Sarri has brought a change in the mood at Chelsea which is making Roman Abramovich fall in love with the club again, reports the Daily Star.

The report adds that Abramovich has been contemplating selling the Blues for at least £2.5bn. However, a source claimed that the owner’s mood is “much better” since the arrival of the Italian.

The source was quoted by the Daily Star as saying:

“The prospect of Roman selling Chelsea depends on his mood. And he has been in a much better one since Sarri arrived.”

The report further claims that Abramovich’s mood has fluctuated greatly. The previous manager, Antonio Conte, also lashed out regarding the failure to land his signings.

Sarri, for his part, has adopted a “happy-go-lucky” approach to managing the team, which is different from the methods of former managers Conte and Jose Mourinho, as per the report.

Chelsea have won their four opening Premier League games under the new manager and are currently sitting pretty with Liverpool and Watford on 12 points.

The Blues haven’t hit top gear yet but they have shown some incredible glimpses of flourishing. Nevertheless, the international break should provide Sarri with time to iron out some issues.
