Eden Hazard confirmed he would remain at Chelsea this season but did not commit his long-term future with the Blues.
The 27-year-old was linked with a move to Real Madrid in the summer (h/t Telegraph) and was quoted as saying:
“Everybody knows what I have said after the World Cup.
“But I’m happy here. I don’t want to talk about it yet. A lot has been said, but at the moment I’m happy. I have two years left on my contract and we’ll see what happens. Leaving this year? I won’t go.”
The Belgian spoke about the English window being closed and how it would be “strange” for the Blues to sell him now and not get a replacement.
“Today we have seen that the fans quite like me. I’m good where I am now. Let’s see what happens in one or two years.”
The Belgian came off the bench to assist Marcos Alonso’s winner against Arsenal on Saturday. The Sun further reports that the Blues are willing to offer Hazard a £300,000-a-week deal to stay at the club.
Keeping hold of Hazard for this campaign is a huge boost, especially after a top player like Thibaut Courtois joined Real.

The Belgian attacker is one of the best in the world and we can concentrate on playing the best football under Maurizio Sarri. And if Hazard plays to his best ability, trophies should be coming to the Bridge.
