European giants to make a last ditch effort to lure away Chelsea superstar before transfer deadline

European champions Real Madrid are ready to make a last-ditch attempt to lure Eden Hazard from Chelsea, reports the Daily Mirror. But the Blues, as we have echoed all summer, are not prepared to sell the star man at any price.

Real Madrid identified Hazard as a top target a couple of years ago but are doing everything to sign the Belgian this summer following superstar Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from the Bernabeu to Juventus.

Chelsea are pushing hard for Hazard to commit his future at Stamford Bridge and are set to offer him £300,000-a-week in a bid to persuade him to stay, claims the Daily Mirror.

However, the report adds that Hazard, who has still two years remaining on his contract, is unlikely to extend his stay at our club unless he feels the Blues can get back into the Champions League under new boss Maurizio Sarri.

Real, meanwhile, want to sign Hazard as a statement of intent as they want to prove to the Belgium skipper that they see him as “a future Galactico”.

As things stand, Chelsea continue to stand firm in their decision but if Hazard doesn’t extend his contract, we could be forced into selling him next summer – as we did earlier this month with goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who was sold to the Spanish giants.

Realistically, we can hope there are no notable outgoings between now and the end of the month. So Chelsea fans can sit back and relax knowing that Hazard is going nowhere this summer.
