“I have a lot of time to give back”: Blues star says he is motivated to give it his all for Chelsea

Alvaro Morata

Alvaro Morata might have scored in the 3-2 win over Arsenal but the Chelsea striker revealed he is motivated to work hard and prove the club’s faith in him.

The Spaniard struggled for goals last season and even saw the Blues sign Olivier Giroud from the Gunners in the January window.

The Express quoted the player as saying,

“I could have gone back to Spain or Italy. All the people believe in me there but I want to change all the things here.

“I want to, not for all the haters, but for me and for Chelsea. Chelsea gave me everything in one moment that I needed and now I have a lot of time to give back all that Chelsea give me.

“I am looking forward to buy a house and I can’t wait for the babies to grow up to put them into school. I am very happy. Why would I not be happy?”

The former Juventus and Real Madrid striker has started both of our Premier League games this season and the goal against the Gunners should give him the confidence boost he needs.

Morata only scored 11 goals for us from 31 Premier League games last season but working under Maurizio Sarri could be the change to reignite his Chelsea career.
