“I’m relaxed at the moment”: Chelsea star refuses to comment on his future amidst Real Madrid interest

Thibaut Courtois has refused to comment on where he could be playing his football as the Belgian has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, according to the Metro.

The Belgian was speaking to Belgian TV (h/t Metro) while attending a KRC Genk match and was asked about him leaving the Blues in the transfer window.

“I’m not going to comment. It’s all delicate. I’m relaxed at the moment.”

The report from the Metro also claimed that Real Madrid had made a £30million bid for the 26-year-old star. However, Chelsea are not looking to sell Courtois and want to keep him at the club.

The situation is more complicated as Maurizio Sarri was also quoted by the Metro as saying that he wants to speak with Courtois and would only keep players that are motivated.

“I have no reaction on the agent. I am not interested in the agent, I want to hear Courtois.

“If Courtois tomorrow tells me the same, I have to speak with the club. I want only players with a high level of motivation. I don’t have an answer for the agent.”

The Belgian keeper has become one of the best in the world and losing him so late in the window would make it extremely difficult to find another quality keeper to take his place.
