Future of Chelsea youngster looks grim amidst interest from Norwich City and Ligue 1 club

Norwich City have bid to take Kasey Palmer away from Chelsea on a loan, according to Sky Sports.

The 21-year-old midfielder was on loan at Huddersfield Town, when he helped them gain promotion to the Premier League and even had a few games at the Terriers last season.

The English midfielder was then sent on loan to Derby County last season where he scored a couple of goals for the Rams.

The report also claims that Palmer is one of a number of players who aren’t sure what Chelsea want to do with them. They could end up staying at Stamford Bridge or be put on the transfer market for a loan deal or being sold for good.

The 21-year-old might have to wait until his future can be sorted as the report claims that no transfer will be done until we have clarity about who our manager will be next year.

Palmer has not made a single senior team appearance for us despite picking up numerous honours with our youth squads.

The Englishman had also won the UEFA Youth League for two years in a row and won the Toulon Tournament in 2016 with the England U21 side.

While Norwich would be looking to move back into the Premier League next season, it would not hurt us if we do sell Palmer next season given that he barely has gotten a look in our senior side.

The Englishman would be another youth player off the list at Chelsea and if we can sell him off for a decent amount, we should go ahead.
