“Hazard must come along” – Chelsea star drops a bomb about a possible move away from Stamford Bridge

Thibaut Courtois has claimed that he would be playing football with Eden Hazard as Belgium finished third in the World Cup.

The goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and Hazard too has stated that he would not mind swapping London for the Spanish capital.

Courtois was quoted by the Express as saying:

“Wherever I go, Hazard must come along. We will not let each other go. We’ll see. Now first vacation. And agree with my entourage in between.”

However, the former Atletico Madrid keeper also added that he could stick at Chelsea given that we have announced Maurizio Sarri as our new manager.

“All options are open to me. Also stay at Chelsea, yes. People always complain that players do not comply with their contracts but maybe I will.”

Hazard too stoked the fire by claiming that after six years, he would be open to trying something new. The Belgian, however, was quick to add that Chelsea would decide his future but also stated which his preferred destination would be.

“Certainly after this World Cup. I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision – if they want to let me go. You know my preferred destination.”

Losing Hazard would be bad and Courtois too would be a real kick for the new manager given that we have to head back into the Champions League.

There still is a decent chance of the pair staying at the club but we will have to bring in new players and a lot of convincing would be needed by Sarri.

Replacing Hazard and Courtois in less than a month would be a gargantuan task too and the last thing we would want is to panic buy and not get the right players at the club.
