Chelsea’s potential new manager wants world-class striker to join him at Stamford Bridge

Maurizio Sarri

Chelsea could start looking to sign Gonzalo Higuain as soon as they complete the deal to bring Maurizio Sarri in a week’s time.

Reports from Italy via Gazzetta dello Sport and SportItalia (h/t The Sun) claim that negotiations will begin on Monday and could be completed within a week.

It is then that the Blues can act and look at signing Juventus star Gonzalo Higuain as the Argentine had stated earlier that he would like to play in the Premier League.

Antonio Conte is expected to leave despite leading us to the Premier League in his first season and picking up the FA Cup this season.

However, the Italian has not been sacked yet and a similar situation is in place with Sarri as Carlo Ancelotti has been named as the new manager of Napoli.

The report also claims that Sarri will be looking to bring in more known players, which means Chelsea could be looking to bring in more Napoli players should Sarri sign for us. This is a similar situation to the time when Jose Mourinho came to Chelsea and brought a few players from FC Porto with whom he won the Champions League.

That led to a lot of domination by us as we picked up numerous titles. If Sarri can bring in the players that he wants, we might have something great for the future.

Hopefully, we can complete all the negotiations and start signing players soon as players could end up going to other clubs with passing time.
