Willian speaks about title race and Manchester City’s dominance this season

Willian

As per a report from The Metro, Chelsea star Willian has spoken about his uncertain future with the club. The report has also claimed that Manchester United are keen on acquiring his services and this is a speculation that has been doing the rounds for a while now.

Willian worked under Jose Mourinho when Portuguese was in charge of Chelsea. The Brazilian went on to lift the 2014-15 Premier League title as well as the League Cup in the same season and he seemed to enjoy life under the Portuguese tactician’s watchful eyes.

However, Willian has seen a significant reduction in game time ever since Antonio Conte took charge of the club. That said, in recent times, he has been playing quite regularly, with the Italian manager preferring to deploy Eden Hazard as the central striker in place of Alvaro Morata.

According to The Metro, Willian is happy at Stamford Bridge.

“I like to play for Chelsea,” he stated.

“On the pitch I want to do my best always to fight until the last minute. To do my best for this club. To continue to win titles because this club deserves always to win titles.

‘”I think we have to continue to improve for next season. To improve ourselves. To think about what we did well, what we did not so well and to try to make something different next season.”

Speaking about the race to the title and Manchester City’s dominance, Willian said:

“Of course they continue to do very well this season. Last season they did well as well. They have a great team. Great players. Quality players.

“But the Premier League is very difficult to say that one team is going to dominate the next few years. I don’t think so. Next season will be totally different to this season.

“Maybe they can win again but you never know because Chelsea are going to come back stronger for sure.

“You also have Liverpool, you have Tottenham, you have Manchester United, Arsenal — a lot of teams that can win the Premier League, ” Willian concluded.

Willian has gone on to become a crucial attacker for us in recent times and he brings a lot to the table. His potential and skills are unquestionable and let’s hope he continues to play well for us.
