Morata and Fabregas to start – Predicted 3-4-3 Chelsea line-up to face West Ham

Predicted Chelsea Line-up To Face West Ham United In The Premier League

Chelsea will be desperate to turn the tide when they host West Ham in the London derby on Sunday. Five defeats in the last seven league games have extinguished the Blues’ hopes of qualifying for the Champions League. We are now 8 points adrift of 4th-placed Tottenham Hotspur, with 7 games remaining in the league season.

A defeat at Stamford Bridge against Spurs after 28 long years heaped more misery on Antonio Conte and co. They will have to find a way and beat a West Ham side that is coming into Sunday’s game on the back of a solid 3-0 win over Southampton.

Team News

According to the Evening Standard, Thibaut Courtois, Pedro and Davide Zappacosta could feature against the Hammers, having returned to the training.

Ross Barkley also joined the session with the first-team as he steps up his recovery following a hamstring injury. Meanwhile, David Luiz remains sidelined with a knee problem.

Probable Chelsea XI

Formation: 3-4-3

Manager: Antonio Conte

Thibaut Courtois (GK)

Thibaut Courtois missed the previous game with a hamstring problem but could recover in time to face West Ham on Sunday.

Cesar Azpilicueta (RCB)

Azpilicueta has been ordinary in the last few games for the Blues. He needs to step up and come out with a big performance.

Andreas Christensen (CB)

Christensen started the season so well, displacing David Luiz from the first-team last year. However, he has failed to deliver commanding performances at the back as the Blues have failed defensively as a unit this campaign.

Antonio Rudiger (LCB)

Rudiger will have a task cut out to marshal Chelsea’s defence against a physical West Ham side.

Antonio Rudiger

Victor Moses (RWB)

Moses should hold on to his place and should be one of our biggest assets against the Hammers.

Marcos Alonso (LWB)

Alonso has been one of our very few consistent players this season. The Spaniard has been a revelation under Conte and will be eager to continue his good form.

N’Golo Kante (CM)

The diminutive Frenchman’s impact in the middle of the park is always telling and he will need to be at his best to keep the West Ham midfield at bay.

Cesc Fabregas (CM)

Fabregas has been really ordinary in the last few games. It is high time for him to start impacting games again, using his passing abilities and creativity.

Willian (RW)

On current form, it is hard to dispossess Willian from his perch and that will help the Blues to keep more possession in the attacking areas.

Eden Hazard (LW)

Hazard’s influence in the last few weeks has also reduced as Chelsea have struggled to pick up positive results. However, the Belgian will be itching to get on the scoresheet against the Hammers to give us three valuable points.

Alvaro Morata (ST)

Morata gave Chelsea the lead against Spurs but when the hosts started chasing the game, the Spaniard failed to make an impact. The striker will need to fire if Chelsea are to win three points on Sunday.
