Here’s how the Chelsea players fared in the 3-1 defeat to Tottenham – Hazard 5.5/10, Morata 7/10

Full Time: Chelsea 1-3 Tottenham

Chelsea were beaten by a good Tottenham side at Stamford Bridge. It was our first home loss at the hands of Tottenham since 1990. The loss puts us in real danger of missing out on the Champions League places as Spurs now have an 8-point lead over us with 7 games left.

The day started well for us as Alvaro Morata scored via a cross from Victor Moses which Hugo Lloris missed. We should have gone into the break with the lead intact but Moses gave the ball away cheaply and Christian Eriksen smacked home a great shot, which Willy Caballero should have saved.

The second half was all Spurs as Alli scored from two situations where we should have defended better. There was no coming back from two goals down and this was a poor showing.

Questions need to be asked of Antonio Conte and some of the players.

Chelsea Player Ratings

Willy Caballero – 5/10

A horror showing from our goalkeeper as he should have saved the first one and didn’t really do well for the third one either. We really missed Thibaut Courtois.

Cesar Azpilicueta – 6/10

Azpilicueta was another player that didn’t have a lot going on for him in the game. He was decent but wasn’t his normal self.

Andreas Christensen – 5/10

This was a poor showing from the Dane and maybe we should have gone with Gary Cahill at the back after all.

Antonio Rudiger – 6.5/10

The former Roma man did well by passing the ball out from the back but he was another average performer in a poor defence.

Victor Moses – 5.5/10

Moses did claim the assist for our goal but barely did anything worth mentioning.

Cesc Fabregas – 6/10

Fabregas looked a little lost in the game and did try his best. There was a nasty tackle from Erik Lamela which the Argentine was not punished for and Cesc took offence to the challenge by having a bit of a kick out at the Spurs man.

N’Golo Kante – 7.5/10

Our best player in the game, Kante did his bit by harrying the Tottenham midfield and closing down the opposition. However, that was never going to be enough to get three points.

Marcos Alonso – 5/10

Alonso had a poor game too and even though he tried his best, nothing was coming out for him properly.

Willian – 6.5/10

Willian started the game brightly as he took on the Tottenham defence but he fizzled out. His shooting boots seemed to be missing too.

Eden Hazard – 5.5/10

Hazard too was missing for a long time and it was a surprise as to why we could not get more out of him.

Alvaro Morata – 7/10

Morata got our only goal of the game but he was invisible in the second half.

Substitutes

Olivier Giroud – 5/10

Giroud had 10 minutes to get something from the game but there was really no service for him.

Emerson Palmieri – N/A

Emerson didn’t have much time to get a telling contribution in the game.

Callum Hudson-Odoi – N/A

The youngster came on late in the game and didn’t have a lot of time to do much.
