Alvaro Morata reportedly convinces Roman Abramovich to sign top Real Madrid star for Chelsea

According to reports, Alvaro Morata is trying to convince Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to help fund a move for Isco during the summer transfer window.

The Spanish international is regarded by many as one of the best-attacking midfielders in world football and he came as a substitute for Real Madrid as they went on to overcome French giants PSG and reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old has however had a frustrating season this term and has struggled to make the Madrid first-team on a regular basis.

He also visibly expressed his frustration at manager Zinedine Zidane last week after being substituted in the 69th minute of Madrid’s shock defeat to Espanyol.

Real manager Zidane denied that there is any rift between the two and said:

”I don’t think it was anything abnormal. He wasn’t happy about coming off, but that’s the case with most players.

“He has a great attitude, trains well and everyone at the club loves him.

“There’s nothing to worry about there. If a player is angry about being substituted then that is normal.”

Despite what Zidane said, a report which was published by Don Balon claimed that Isco threatened to quit Real if he was not started against PSG on Tuesday.

If Madrid are prepared to listen to offers for the player during the summer, Chelsea could be set to make a move and Morata is reportedly trying to convince our hierarchy to launch an eye-catching bid for Isco.

Morata will also help his Spanish compatriot, Isco to settle in London should a deal go ahead.

Meanwhile, Madrid are interested in signing Eden Hazard. Considering that we are currently in fifth place on the Premier League standings and could well fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League, especially considering how we have been playing in 2018, it is not hard to see why Hazard may be tempted into joining the Spanish giants.

The Daily Mail report that the Belgian could even “agitate to leave” if Real come up with an offer but adds a move would only be possible if Real’s current manager Zidane stays at the Bernabeu beyond the summer.
