Fans may have missed their skipper, John Terry, on the pitch for the past couple of games, but the 35-year-old has engaged his fans on the social media.

The former English international picked up an ankle ligament strain during his side’s 2-2 draw against Swansea 10 days ago and due to that, the skipper missed the visit of Jurgen Klopp’s men to Stamford Bridge, which his side lost by two goals to one. The £32m arrival from PSG took the stance in his absence but failed to prevent his from the defeat.

And Terry posted the above selfie on his Instagram story as the Chelsea defender hit the treatment table for some work on his problem ankle.

“John is recovering,” Conte said. “I saw him outside today and he is recovering. After this game [against Leicester] we’ll see his physical condition. It’s a big week because we face two very strong teams. Leicester won the title last season and, this season, they’ve shown they are a very good team, also in the Champions League. Arsenal are a great team that will fight for the title so it’s a big week but we are ready. We know we have to work to improve because I know we can improve a lot, this is important.”

Chelsea recently outnumbered Leicester City in the third round of the EFL Cup and have progressed in the competition.

The side will be hoping to see John Terry back on the pitch as the big London Derby (against Arsenal) is awaiting this weekend.
