Chelsea youngster Alex Kiwomya has impressed Crewe Alex fans after his spectacular performance at Stevenage.
The 20-year-old player is on loan at the club till January and he made his debut at Crewe Alex as a second half substitute in a 2-1 win at Stevenage.
The player signed an extension contract at the Stamford Bridge in January which will see him stay at the Blues till June 2017. The youngster is highly rated at the Blues having made appearances in the Blues Under-18s, Under-19, and Under-21 squads.
Kiwomya created a goal for Ryan Lowe with a defensive assist and scored the second goal himself for the club.
“I knew I had to show the fans I am here to make a difference and do the best I can for the club, so hopefully I did that.
“I came up with an assist and a goal so hopefully there is more to come.
“The gaffer said he was going to give me a chance and to come on and take it. You can’t just expect to come into the team and play, you have to do the best you can when you come on and that’s what I did. Hopefully I provided for the team.
He added:
“Crewe is quiet, a lot different to London, so there is more time to focus. I’m training longer and I am not around my family which is hard, but it makes me focus more.
The lads, we are all young and around the same age so there are no disputes, we get along. Everyone knows we have a job to do.
“The gaffer has put his trust in me, said he wants me to play and I am settling in well.”
The player signed for Crewe Alex in July and has made an impressive debut at the club leaving his mark on all those who saw the match and displaying his ability and the extent to which he can contribute to the club.
