Wow! Athletic Bilbao Defender Shares His View Over A Possible Move For This Chelsea Star

It has been a while since Cesar Apilicueta has been linked with a move out of Chelsea, however, the player’s countryman Mikel San Jose states that the player may not be heading out of the Blues this summer.

Apilicueta has so far been linked with a move to Athletic Bilbao, San Jose’s current club, and FC Barcelona, however, if the player’s friend is to be believed then Apilicueta is set to stay at the Blues.

“I still can only see Azpilicueta at Chelsea,” San Jose told reporters. “During Euros it looked like all teams wanted to sign him. However, we speak often to each other, I know him well and I still can see him wearing Chelsea’s blue shirt.”

The player made 37 league appearances for the Blues last season and further managed to provide 18 key passes and made three assists in the Premier League addition to the two goals he scored in the competition.

Apilicueta and Mikel San Jose both were called in the Spanish squad during the European Championship 2016 and Apilicueta played for 10 minutes for the Euros.

Chelsea are working full swing in the transfers this summer and it is still unclear if the Blues manager Antonio Conte has included Apilicueta in his plans for the upcoming campaign.
