Chelsea are looking to sign Thiago Maia into the squad according to reports from Yahoo Brazil, and the report further states that the Blues are taking help from infamous agent Kia Joorabchian to land the player into the Stamford Bridge.
Joorabchian is best known for his involvement in the controversial transfer moves of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano to West Ham and now reports claim that the businessman is in South America holding talks with the player’s representatives regarding a move to the Stamford Bridge.
Maia who plays as a central midfielder at Santos is apparently wanted by the Chelsea boss Antonio Conte. The 19 year old has made 15 league appearances for Santos this season and has one assist to his credit.
The reports from Yahoo claims that Joorabchian will be gauging the player’s interest in the move to the Stamford Bridge and depending on the same will be making a £15.34m bid for the player on behalf of Chelsea. The report further claims that the deal of the player’s move is likely to undergo, however, the Blues may end up facing competition from Palmeiras, Fiorentina and Valencia.
