So far into the summer transfer window Chelsea have brought in Michy Batshuayi from Marseille and N’Golo Kante from Leicester City on a deal worth £65m combined and the Blues are further linked with many players one of them being Kalidou Koulibaly.
According to reports on Wednesday, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has made a huge bid to land the player at the Stamford Bridge. However, Napoli Chief Aurelio De Laurentiis is taking his time making the decision regarding the same. The reports from Sky Sports claim that Laurentiis has not made a decision yet regarding the offer after having recently cashed out on Gonzalo Higuain on a deal worth £75m, he may end up deciding against accepting Chelsea’s bid.
However, Chelsea’s pursuit for Koulibaly has received a boost after the reports of Napoli having tabled a bid of £22m for the £25m rated Torino defender Nikola Maksimovic started circulating.
