So far into the summer the Blues have signed two new players into the squad. Michy Batshuay from Marseille and N’Golo Kante from Leicester City have both joined the Blues and if reports are to be believed then Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is far from done where the transfer are concerned.
Chelsea have reportedly launched a £38m bid for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly. The Blues have been looking out for the player for some time now and are set to face competition from Arsenal and Everton for the player’s signature. The 25-year-old joined the Serie A side from Genk in 2014 and was impressive during his 33 league appearances last season.
The Blues are further looking out to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho, as Conte looks to bolster his midfield having already signed Kante into the squad. Carvalho has also attracted interest from Everton for his signature. The Portuguese international, who was apart of the Euro 2016 winning squad, has been rated at £30million.
Further former Chelsea defender Jeffrey Bruma revealed that the Blues were interested in signing him this summer, however the player chose to head to Wolfsburg last month. The player left Chelsea three years ago having failed to land regular first team football.
“I had other options such as Inter Milan. I could have re-signed for Chelsea, who wanted me.”
