Breaking! Chelsea Moves An Edge Closer To Sign This Long Term Everton Target

It has been a while since the Blues have been linked with a potential transfer move for  Zenit St Petersburg player Axel Witsel, and according to the Mirror Chelsea are now set to table a bid for the player.

The player has been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Everton being the three clubs looking to sign the player into the squad.  Further, Everton had a deal worth £30m accepted for the player, as Everton manager Ronald Koeman stated that a deal for Witsel and Juan Mata is possible this summer.

However the reports suggest that the player is yet to make a decision regarding the move as reports suggest that the player’s preferred destination is the capital rather than the Merseyside, thus Liverpool and Everton will be facing tough competition from Antonio Conte.

Seems like Chelsea stand a chance to sign the player although Everton stand by the claim that their offer has been accepted.
