Why Selling Chelsea’s Possible Future Captain Would Be Suicidal By Conte

The Premier League 2016-17 fixtures list is out now, and the London club will be battling with the newly revived side West Ham United in their opening day of the league. The current Italian boss will be taking over the reins of the Stamford Bridge just after the European Championship, and therefore, the fans will surely be feeling a sense of Optimism.

Well, they have the full right to enjoy the moment as they will be managed under one of the best managers in the business. Antonio Conte has a successful record in wherever he has managed. Even he helped two Italian sides (Bari, Siena) to get promotion from Serie B to Serie A,  and after that, 3 back to back Serie A titles with Juventus.

The manager has a tough task ahead of him because we all are aware of the fact that the Premier League is not meant for everybody. Even an experienced manager like Louis van Gaal was forced to see the exit door of the Old Trafford and not to forget Jose Mourinho, who was sacked twice by the Blues.

It is recently rumored that many players from the current side might leave the Bridge, and therefore, the Italian gaffer’s first task will be to convince the star names to stay. Lack of champions league football will be key factor for many players. Conte will have to motivate the players and make them believe that they can get back to top again.

Coming on to the point, the recent report from Mundo Deportivo, the Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas is being linked with a move to Real Madrid. That is obviously a rumor, but who knows, the deal might become a reality.

The Spanish sensation signed for the Blues back in 2014 after not getting a proper game time at the Camp Nou, and since then, he has been an absolute wonder for the team. In his very first season with the Blues, he lifted the Premier League trophy by assisting 18 times in the campaign. The following season was quite a reluctant one as he along with almost every Chelsea player failed to replicate the same form.

Cesc is a gem and no one can ever question his ability and that’s for sure. The Spanish international works tirelessly on the field and gives his equal contribution in the attack as well as defense. His ball control, vision and excellent passing abilities control the tempo of the game and won’t be wrong to say that almost every attack of the team goes through him.

His vision is his primary weapon and through that, the Spaniard is capable of delivering some exceptional defense splitting pass, and not everyone in the Chelsea squad could do that. It is safe to say that Fabregas is the Engine of the team who drives them forward.

As stated earlier, Cesc is an important figure for the Blues, and losing him might cost the side a whole lot. So, Chelsea management should do their best to keep the Spanish pass master happy at Stamford Bridge.
