Chelsea Transfer Roundup: Chelsea Looking To Launch A £50m Bid For The Star Defender, Bayern Munich Also In Chase To Sign This Long Term Target And More

Chelsea are yet to sign any new players into the squad as the Blues are taking time to weigh their options as to who they should bring into the squad so as to rebuild a team which is capable of challenging the Premier League title next season.

Recent reports suggest that the Blues are looking to bring in Leonardo Bonucci from Juventus in a £50million move to the Stamford Bridge. The player will surely boost the Blues’ defenses if he does move to Chelsea in addition to the fact that he has already worked with Antonio Conte, during their time at Juventus.

The Blues have long been linked with Napoli Defender Kalidou Koulibaly in a potential transfer move, however, they are facing strong competition from Manchester United and Bayern Munich for the Senegalese player. Koulibaly looks set to leave Napoli after an impressive season in Serie A last year, but there are still talks ongoing about a potential new contract at the club. Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is working on a £24m deal to take him to Stamford Bridge but Bayern are hoping to lure him to Germany.

According to the Daily Mail, the Conte wants to keep Juan Cuadrado at the Stamford Bridge next season, as the Italian manager has plans for the player.

Cuadrado spent last season on loan at Juve and Conte, the incoming Italian head coach, is a fan. Conte’s preference to play 3-5-2 suits Cuadrado, who thrived in that system in Italy last season, but the Colombia international is set to have the final say on his future after Copa America. Juventus were crowned champions for a fifth straight season and Cuadrado contributed five goals and as many assists.
