Strongest Possible Chelsea Line Up To Face Tottenham – Fabregas, Pedro And Mikel To Start

Chelsea play the hosts as Spurs visit Stamford Bridge on Monday which happens to be the second last match at the bridge this season. The blues would want to season on a high and there can’t be anything more soul soothing than beating Spurs and ending their title race at the blues home after this shambolic season. Hiddink has said that the squad will give their all against the rivals and will look for all three points.

Tottenham will be without Dele Alli because of suspension and Eric Dier is also doubtful after suffering a concussion against West Brom. Chelsea will look to dominate the weakend Spurs defense which can ultimately result in a positive outcome. The blues are without John Terry, Kurt Zouma and Loic Remy with Thibaut Courtois set to serve his second match suspension for his red card against Man City. Gary Cahill is back in contention after missing the game against the cherries through illness. Lets take a look at the blues possible lineup against Pochettino’s men :

Goalkeeper: Asmir Begovic

With Courtois suspended, the Serbian will get a chance again to prove that he belongs at Chelsea and will look to improve his performance after he looked nervous against Bournemouth.

Right back: Cesar Azpilicueta

The ever present full back will have his work cut out against Son.

Center back: Branislas Ivanovic

Ivanovic is fighting for his future and has to find top form again.

Center back: Gary Cahill

Will replace Mikel at the back and will have the job to keep the most in form striker in the league quiet.

Left back: Baba Rehman

He will have to be constantly aware to stop the overlapping runs from Kyle Walker.

Central midfield: John Obi Mikel

Mikel will return to his midfield role, replacing Nemanja Matic.

Central midfield: Cesc Fabregas

The Spaniard will look to damage the weakened Spurs midfield and have to play at his best.

Right wing: Willian

His overall distribution will be needed in attacking and defensively too.

Left Wing: Pedro

He needs to be on his best as he will be facing Kyle Walker, one of the most effective right back this season.

Attacking Midfield: Eden Hazard

He can do most damage playing in the center and that will be the best position to inflict some real damage to the opponents.

Striker: Diego Costa

The mercurial striker have to manage to have a good game against the league’s meanest defense.
