Chelsea Target Discusses His Future Amid Transfer Speculation

Antonio Rudiger has been linked with a move to Chelsea and when asked about it gave a very vague answer neither claiming or rejecting the authenticity of the move. Really fishy!

According to Italian media La Repubblica, the new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is keen on the player. The Germany international was on loan from Stuttgart to AS Roma and now the Italian club has the option to make the move permanent by signing him for £6.9 million. However, given the interest from Chelsea, Roma can make a quick profit by purchasing him and then selling him immediately to the Blues.

Chelsea veteran defender John Terry has renewed his contract, but it is yet to be seen how much of game time will he be receiving under Antonio Conte. Apart from that we may also see a clear out in the squad with notable names such as Oscar, Costa being linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge. Chelsea could probably use an experienced defender like Rudiger.

In a recent interview Rudiger said, “My future? I am currently a Roma player, I’m happy at this club but you never know what can happen in football. Chelsea? This is talk I’ve felt for three years. I repeat, in Rome I am happy.”
