A huge summer awaits Chelsea which is one of the most important summer transfer periods in the club’s recent history. After falling out of the top four, the blues must bounce back strongly than ever before if they want to compete to be the best.

This season has been sheer disappointing for most of the players and there will be many who will be shown the door. A lot of money needs to be invested and some of it can be generated by the sale of some players.

Juventus was rumoured to be in pole position to sign Chelsea’s playmaker Oscar. Many reports are circulating in the papers that the Bianconeri have agreed a deal with the blues for the Brazilian star and Antonio Conte, who has been officially announced as the Chelsea manager wants to bring Juan Cuadrado back to the squad and Oscar may act as a bait in this deal.

Oscar is a one of a kind player and though he has not reached the standards he has set for himself this season, the Brazilian should not be sold. He has 8 goals and 5 assists in all competitions this term, and considering the mediocre performances Chelsea have produced, the Brazilian had an above average season compared to others.

Antonio Conte will definitely require the services of Oscar, and after the sale of Juan Mata, Oscar has done pretty well in the no. 10 role. There are many other positions to be strengthened in the summer and the Brazilian just needs some confidence going into the new campaign and the fan favourite can deliver on the big stage if given the right opportunity.

There are not many no.10 available in the market who can match the level set by Oscar and it will be wrong to sell the 25 year old after a bad season. Oscar has a tremendous work ethic and will be a delight for the new gaffer to work with.
