Ok, it’s John Stones again. The same player that Chelsea attempted to sign in the summer but failed miserably. Even though Everton blocked the player’s departure from Goodison Park, Chelsea are reported to be preparing a massive £50m bid to sign the player.
In the summer, Chelsea bid £38m for the player but Everton were strong enough to fight the temptation and keep the teenager at the club. Stones did hand in a transfer request to Everton management towards the end of the transfer window but the club was still not willing to let the defender go and eventually the deal fell apart.
Now talkSPORT has reported that £50m bid is coming up from the reigning champions to bring the young talented defender to Stamford Bridge. Recently Chelsea has been struggling to perform and their defense, usually their strength, has faltered too many times this season. The new interim manager Guus Hiddink is desperate to improve the situation and looking at Stones for the solution.
