With the likes Alexandre Pato and Saido Berahino likely to arrive at Chelsea, the topic is heating up on which players may be on their way out from Stamford Bridge. The Sun has reported that Eden hazard, Thibaut Courtois, Oscar and Diego Costa may be walking out of the gate soon.
All four are on lucrative long-term contracts, with Hazard having agreed a 5½-year deal in February.
But a Blues source said: “Yes, they’re tied into deals but those contracts won’t stop rivals moving in at the end of the season. And they won’t stop our players considering their futures either. Contracts don’t count for a lot these days.”
It was expected that Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao may be moving out of the club but with the Sun report, whole dynamic of the transfer market changes. There has been report that United and Barcelona are battling for Hazard while PSG is showing interest in Costa. Not all the news that we hear may be true but some of it surely are.
If what we hear is even half the truth we can see a completely new face of Chelsea next season. While we do not expect these transfers to be happening mid season, a major shake up at the club cannot be ruled out. The question is if it is smart to make such major change at one go.
