Loan Star To Finally Replace Legend! Here’s Why I Think It Should Happen

Promising Belgian custodian Thibaut Courtois is set for a return to Chelsea next season as it emerged, boss Jose Mourinho, is ready to sell current number one Petr Cech. Mourinho has admitted this week that he is ready to sell Cech who has been first choice at Stamford Bridge for the best part of 10 years. The Express have reported.

The 32 year old Czech Republic international has played 479 times for Chelsea and fans of the club will no doubt be sad to see him leave. Mourinho’s goalkeeping dilemma has come on the back of Courtois’ sparkling form whilst on a loan spell with Atletico Madrid which has lasted for three seasons, somewhat forcing Mourinho’s hand.

The move will see the revolving door at Stamford Bridge in full flow once again as the club look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season. Courtois himself has openly expressed a desire to stay with the La Liga outfit, but Mourinho is willing to prove how much he wants to keep the shot-stopper by sanctioning Cech’s departure, with his likely destination to be Paris Saint Germain – who recently signed defender David Luiz from the Stamford Bridge outfit.

His sparkling performances last season saw Athletico Madrid pip Barcelona and Real Madrid to La Liga and he was also influential as the club defeated Chelsea on their way to the Champions League Semi Final.
