Brother Of Chelsea Star Deserved A Look-In Next Season

Most football fans in the world know Eden Hazard, but far less know about his brother Thorgan. Younger I will add, but very similar to each other. While Eden’s career sky-rocketed at the age of 21, Thorgan’s has stagnated somewhat after he joined Chelsea back in 2012. The young Belgian prodigy has never played for Chelsea and hasn’t even been a part of their team roster after being loaned out to Zulte-Waregem for the past couple of seasons.

Having spent two successful seasons on loan in Belgium, Thorgan might have imagined that Jose Mourinho would at least let him prove his worth. Actually in the Chelsea team, though. But, that doesn’t look to be the case, yet again, as Thorgan is set for another loan spell. 101 Great Goals have reported.

The website then went on to suggest that a number of big teams are actually vying for his signature including Liverpool, Everton and Valencia. They finally questioned the future of Thorgan who could be growing tired of not being given a chance and seek a permanent move away.

Chelsea simply can’t let this happen without giving him a run out in the first team. Eden knows he has the ability as the current Chelsea star has admitted in a number of interviews that Thorgan is actually better than he is. The 23-year-old is in the best position to comment on this considering they are brothers. If the Zulte-Waregem star is as good as Hazard senior says then the Blues fans are in for a treat. Should he get a chance.

Perhaps quicker, more skilful feet? Whatever Eden means, Thorgan has certainly been on fire for his loan club. He’s scored 17 goals and grabbed 20 assists in 53 games. Very good statistics that will catch the eye of potential suitors monitoring his situation. Showing signs of obvious improvement after last season’s total of three goals and six assists 37 games. Also showing that he’s become a more established member of Zulte’s team.

For me, he deserves a chance next season and as it’s looking like he won’t, I wouldn’t blame him if he left on a permanent basis.
