Chelsea are firm favourites in their London clash with Tottenham this afternoon, though they will certainly have to slog it out to get a result. So how should Jose Mourinho line his men up against Spurs?
In a 4-3-3 formation, I would have Petr Cech between the sticks, obviously, and have the usual pairing of John Terry and Gary Cahill in the heart of the defence. They have been the main reason as to why the Blues have the best defence in the league this season.
On the right I would have Branislav Ivanovic, and on the left Cesar Azpilicueta.
In the middle of the pitch I would start Nemanja Matic, John Obi Mikel and Ramires, with the latter the one doing the running and the former two protecting the backline.
Ramires has bundles of energy while the other two are a pair who can glue the entire side together.
Willian has to start for me as he provides pace and a desire to get back, and Oscar naturally gets a place in the side. For me I would give Fernando Torres the place up front ahead of Samuel Eto’o, as I think the big games are where the Spaniard thrives.
Chelsea fans, do you agree with my team?
