25-year old Edinson Cavani, who was recently linked with Chelsea, has refused to pledge his future to Napoli, hinting that he could move from the Italian club, putting several clubs on stand-by.
Chelsea would face stiff competition for the striker, with Paris St.Germain and Manchester City also interested, although with Didier Drogba now 34, and Malouda apparently wanting a move from the London club, he could well be tempted to join The Blues.
Whilst speaking to Ovacion Digital, Cavani stated “I always leave my decisions in God’s hands. When I went to Napoli, things happened in a way that I joined the club, when I had never imagined or thought that it could happen”
“In the future, the same thing will happen”
With Napoli being ousted from the Champions League last week, Cavani will undoubtedly know that he is getting better as a footballer, and may have look elsewhere if he wants to collect silverware.
With 44 goals in just 61 games from the Italians, he will be attracting many big names, and looks set to be leaving this summer, and Chelseas new full-time manager may well be looking to re-build the squad, and might have the Uruguayan well in their sights.
