Anzhi appoint Guus

Ex-Blues’ boss Guus Hiddink has been appointed the new boss of cash rich Anzhi Makhachkala.

The Dutchman was linked to a return to Stamford Bridge and was thought to be wanted by some Chelsea players.

During his time at Chelsea he managed to lead the club to an FA Cup win in 2009 and was asked to stay on by senior players John Terry, Michael Ballack and Petr Čech but he wanted to honour his contract with Russia.

Prior to Guus being linked and getting the job there was a lot of speculation that ex-England boss Fabio Capello was going to get the job but sadly for Blues fans that wasn’t the case.
