Chelsea are a top priced 1.3 with
Paddy Power to round off the year with a win over Aston villa at Stamford Bridge, and in truth they should not need to be at their best to bag all three points.
AVB’s boys looked to be back to their best when beating Man City 2-1, but since then they have failed to go and have registered three 1-1 draws on the bounce.
However Villa have won none of their last nine visits to The Bridge in the Premier League and have also failed to score in five of their last 7 games.
Quite frankly they are a negative side who seem to find bagging three points as hard as winning the lottery, and it will be a major surprise if Chelsea do not take advantage and register a comfortable success.
So who is going to score the first goal and fire them to the expected victory?
Well, the usual suspects in Droga and Sturridge top the charts at 4.5 but the player I am interested in is definitely Frank Lampard.
Lamps has scored five goals in the last two home Premier League games against the Villans, so at 6 with
bet365, Betfred and
Paddy Power he will certainly be carrying my cash to net first.
I certainly can’t understand why he is a bigger price than Torres (5.5), as so far the Spaniard has managed to fire in just 13 shots on target during 2011 since his move from Liverpool.
For those who like to play in the correct score market I am going to suggest that Chelsea will win this without reply, as Villa couldn’t score in a brothel at the moment.
I like the look of 2-0 and 3-0, and those scorelines can be backed at 6.5 with
Paddy Power and 8 with
Betfred.
