Lamps wanted by cash-rich Anzhi

It is believed that big-spending Anzhi Makhachkala are keen to bring Frank Lampard to Russia as they look to build a team that can conquer Europe.

The Russian club shocked the football World when they signed Cameroon striker Samuel Eto’o from Inter Milan last month, the move made the African the World’s highest-paid player.

Anzhi are owned by billionaire Suleyman Kerimov, who has already brought Roberto Carlos, Diego Tardelli and ex-Blue Yuri Zhirkov to the club.

The Russian press has suggested that they are keen on the Blue star, and his England teammate Steven Gerrard, but it is unlikely either player will want to move that far from home.

As well as the two Englishman it is also though that Anzhi want England coach Fabio Capello as their manager, they had tried to get Jose Mourinho but he says he has unfinished business at Real.
