It was a great win for the Blues as they maintained their unbeaten home run this season with goals from Fernando Torres, Didier Drogba and a brace for Ramires.
It was good to see Didier Drogba back, especially he came off the bench to score after being out for a couple of weeks with concussion.
First Half
Both teams played attacking football and looked to take the lead. Fernando Torres looked confident and scored his second goal in two games with a great finish after chesting the ball down, turning and shooting. It was a great assist by Juan Mata and first time Torres scored in consecutive games since last November.
Ten minutes later Torres received a red card after a late challenge on Gower and will now miss the next 3 league games. Once again Torres’ goal was overshadowed by his silly tackle.
Chelsea played fast attacking football and after some great passing and movement. Ramires scored his first of two goals of the day with a powerful low strike across the keeper.
Second Half
Both teams had chances to score with Sinclair, Dyer, Anelka and Ramires getting shots away but failing to score.
Chelsea kept pushing and were rewarded in the 76th minute when Ramires got past the defenders ad scored his second goal after great vision from Bosingwa picked out the Brazilian.
Drogba made his much awaited return to the Chelsea side coming in the 79th minute.
Ashley Williams pulled one back, when he scored for Swansea in the 86th minute.
Four minutes into stoppage time Didier Drogba scored a goal with Malouda providing the assist.
Overall, it was a great win for Chelsea.
We next face Valencia in the Champions League on Wednesday.
