Ex-Blue’s boss Ranieri new boss at Inter Milan

Former Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri has been named the new coach of Inter Milan, and is keen to re-energize the side.

The ex-Roma boss replaces Gian Piero Gasperini, who was dismissed after Tuesday’s heavy 3-1 defeat against Novara.

Gasperini had been in charge for less than three months, but after picking up just one point (which came against Roma) in three games, and lost their Champions League opener against Turkish side Trabzonspor.

A statement from the club confired: “Claudio Ranieri is officially the new coach of Inter. Ranieri has signed a contract with Inter until June 30, 2013.”

Inter have struggled for consistency in their management set-up since Jose left the club, incredibly Ranieri, 59, is now Inter’s fifth coach in 15 months.

For the man that spent fours years at the helm at Stamford Bridge, starts with an away match against Bologna on Saturday.
