Luka Modric told to play …

Harry Redknapp could play against Hearts tomorrow and is likely to face Manchester City on Sunday.
Chelsea target Modric missed the 3-0 defeat at Manchester United on Monday after he was left out of the squad – It is thought his head was not in the right place after becoming unsettled by speculation concerning his future.
Redknapp told press: “Luka has to get on and play now. I need him back playing.”
And followed up with: “The situation is that he is not for sale.”
It is widely thought that Modric was upset following his meeting with Daniel Levy, following his Chairman’s decision to reject Chelsea’s bids.

  1. Luka make your stand. Redknapp and Levy think you must keep quiet while they shout their views. It's time to assert yourself. It's your body and your legs and its your decision what you do with them. No one can make you play if you don't want to. Make your stand and be loud about it.

  2. What all the drama on Modric really shows is what a small club THL really is. Arsenal just sold two influential player and stll went ahead and qualified for CL. That is a club that shows that no individual player is bigger than the club. All these threat of fielding Modric to play, if he is fielded and he stands in one corner of the field and does nothing, refusing to kick the ball what will/can Levy and Harry do, order him to the gullotine? I believe Tottenham's loss to Man U was because of this distraction and City will come and worsen it. Big shame. If Tottenham had sold Modric a while ago, wouldn't they have been able to buy players who would have settled down a bit by now? Tottenham stands to gain ABSOLUTELY NOTHING from this episode. If anything they will lose as no sensible player worth his salt will come their way again and I'm sure for all his noise a player like VDV would have gone to check his own contract again and the harm will manifest more when the time to renew players' contracts come. Hhichever way, Tottenham is the loser and if you love the club you have to ship Modric out maybe even to another club but out he has to go.
