Chelsea target Raul Meireles was taken off against Exeter in the League Cup tonight following a shoulder injury.
With the Blues struggling to sign Luka Modric, there were rumours circulating that Andre Villas-Boas may make a move for the Portuguese international.
Whilst it is unknown how serious the injury is, it is unlikely Chelsea will make a bid for Liverpool’s 2011 PFA Fans’ Player of the Year.
