Blues to move for A.J ???

Andre Villas-Boas is thought to be ready to make a surprise move Manchester City winger Adam Johnson.
The Portuguese tactician is believed a big fan of the England international, the 24-year-old was not a first-team regular last season, making 31 appearance of which he only started 16.
It is unknown whether Roberto Mancini would be open to selling the player who he often used as a ‘super sub’.
AVB is keen to GO with his preferred 4-3-3 formation, but there is a clear weakness on the right, a gap that would be filled with A.J.
Should a fee be agreed, it is likely the player would be keen on a move to the Bridge as he would get to feature more.

  1. Chelsea should have bought this lad when he first left Middlesborough a couple of seasons ago. We were in negotiations for him but allowed City to step in. I would doubt that City will let him go as he scored too many important goals for them last term and they don't exactly need the money. The only way we would possibly get this lad is if he puts in for a transfer and I would doubt he will do that. A real shame though as I rate Adam Johnson very highly and feel he would do brilliantly well for Chelsea. What's the betting 'if' Chelsea make an enquiry that City come back wanting one of our top players in exchange.

  2. This is exactly what we need for our squad, the likes of anelka and kalou should find the exit door from stamford bridge.A.johnson is the right player to fill that position if we intend to focus more on attacking football this season,if not his type,no way

  3. I think Chelsea has make a good step trying to sign Adam Johnson, He is very skillful and Dangerous winger, i always wanted Chelsea to go for him and use him in the first team football, Chelsea lack a player who posses his qualities.. Go blues! Go Chelsea….

  4. Guys I'm getting concerned. First, I watched this Audi Cup competition featuring Bayern Munich, AC milan,Barcelona. I saw the match between Bayern and AC Milan and what I saw scared me when compared to what Chelsea wants to take into the season considering that CL is one of our targets. Are we serious at all? Second, Mancity is about to sign Aguero, Man U, we all know will still sign someone despite all the lies of that old man, most likely Snidjer and we go around buying 18 and 19 yrs old players. We barely nicked Mancity to 2nd last season and if we think they are acquiring the players they have so they can fight for 3rd or 4th position again, WE ARE DREAMING. And guess what, of the top 3 teams, which will anyone honestly say has improved? The club should please let us know what is the objective for this season. Maybe we are still building a team and so we'll accept that trophies will not be expected this season. Not to raise our hopes and then dash it.

  5. Adam johnson is the kind of players we need,he is fast, skillful, smart,he can change the game at any time its matters most,he's tall and strong,he's an English, his dribbling qualities is excellent,he should player with Drogba and kalou up-front they will form killer squad.
