New Blood – Who will it be ???

The rumours are circulating about who will be Chelsea‘s next big signing, so who will be the new blood to ensure the goals start flowing again.

The rumours are circulating about who will be Chelsea‘s next big signing, so who will be the new blood to ensure the goals start flowing again.
There are three names currently in the frame to make the move to Stamford Bridge, first is Santos’ Neymar, then there is teenage sensation Romelu Lukaku and finally Palermo’s Javier Pastore.
It is thought that Chelsea are very close to signing Neymar, the Santos striker has already represented Brazil despite only being 19-years-old.
The young striker grabbed everyone’s attention after an excellent 2010, when he scored 43 goals in 63 games and made his Brazilian debut.
It is thought that his agent is in London holding transfer talks, Chelsea officials will want to get a deal completed as soon as possible as there are rumours that Barcelona may also make a move for him.
Romelu Lukaku has constantly impressed since breaking into the Anderlecht side, in his first full season he scored 15 goals in 33 games and then this season he managed 16 in 37.
Shelling out £23 million for a 18-years-old may seem a lot, but this youngster is very talented and well worth the money. He has scored twice for the Belgium national team in nine starts, and is one for the future.
Another option is Argentine Javier Pastore, the attacking midfield player is seen as a long-term replacement for Frank Lampard, but is ready to play first-team football immediately.
In a struggling Palermo team this season he still managed to score 11 goals in 34 starts, and on the 14th November he grabbed his first ever hat-trick in his side’s 3-1 derby win over Catania.
It is believed that the Blues have tabled a substantial bid of around £33 million, which has been rejected due to his minimum release fee being £44 million – A figure that Palermo owner Maurizio Zamparini is holding out for.
Like the other two players Chelsea are chasing, there is expected to be a lot of competition for Pastore’s signature with Manchester City being known admirers as well as big clubs in Italy and Spain keen to sign him.

Chelsea dealt major blow in hopes of landing top-class South American star from Serie A giants

Chelsea are keeping tabs on Paulo Dybala

Paulo Dybala was a target for Chelsea but he is set to sign a new deal with Juventus

Tuttomercatoweb (h/t Express) claim that Paulo Dybala is set to sign a new deal with Serie A champions Juventus.

The 26-year-old was in great form last season and scored 17 times in all competitions. The Argentine even racked up 14 assists to help the Old Lady to the league title.

However, the report claims that Dybala did not make the best of starts under new manager Andrea Pirlo.

The former Juventus and AC Milan midfielder took over the manager’s role this season and Dybala has been barely used.

Dybala only has two starts to his name across three competitions, though he has been a regular for Argentina.

However, any talks of him leaving the club seem to be over as Juventus head Fabio Paratici confirmed contract talks were on the way (h/t Express):

“We’re in talks to extend Paulo Dybala’s contract.

“He wants to stay and we want to keep him, he’s part of our future. We’ll continue the negotiations to find an agreement.”

Another attacker for Lampard?

The report adds that Dybala was a target for us after the falling out but it is to be seen if we make a serious move for him.

Chelsea are blessed with several attacking options and we strengthened it further by signing Timo Werner and Kai Havertz in the summer.

Hakim Ziyech is waiting in the wings to make a big impact while the team already has stars such as Christian Pulisic, Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Dybala is a fantastic footballer and landing him would only increase our attacking options. However, we seem stacked in the attack and it will be interesting to see what our plans are for the winter window.

Chelsea have been extremely busy over the summer but we are yet to click after bringing so many fresh faces.

Chelsea-linked PL star set to make a career-defining decision in coming weeks

Chelsea target Declan Rice set to be offered lucrative new contract by West Ham United

Declan Rice could close the door on a Chelsea move with this decision

According to The Daily Star, Chelsea target Declan Rice looks set to make a decision on his future in the coming weeks.

The 21-year-old, despite his young age, is an experienced Premier League player. He already has 105 appearances for West Ham United and has scored three goals during this time.

While the Blues have shown they are a force to be reckoned in the attack, the same cannot be said of the defence.

Selling Rice to Chelsea a big gamble for West Ham even at £40m' – Cole calls on Gold & Sullivan to resist offers |

The likes of N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho are all excellent players in their own right. However, adding Rice to the mix will add traits to the midfield that the three players lack.

The Englishman will bring with him a calmness in possession and he also reads the game well. Add to it his ability to play forward passes and he will be a fantastic fit for our system.

The Hammers, however, are not keen to lose their star man. They are readying a new contract that will see Rice double his current £60,000-a-week wages. His current deal runs until 2024 with an option for another year.

Signing the new contract will make it harder for us to secure his signature. Rice is someone who is familiar with Chelsea. He was on the club’s rolls before being released at the age of 14.

A number of youth stars who played with Rice at Chelsea have made their way up to the first-team. This also includes his close friend Mason Mount.

It remains to be seen what the midfielder decides to do. He will do his career no harm if he decides to return to the club where it all began.

“We had an honest conversation” – Chelsea ace reveals talks with Lampard regarding his future

Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek requested to leave the club on loan earlier this summer

According to The Sun, Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek hopes his loan spell away at Fulham will help kickstart his career once again.

The youngster looked to be on the track of making it at Stamford Bridge under Maurizio Sarri. However, an unfortunate injury suffered in a charity match saw him on the sidelines for 13 months.

Loftus-Cheek struggled to reach the same levels since his return. He started the opening day fixture against Brighton but has not featured for the Blues since.

Loftus-Cheek set to leave Chelsea on loan

With his career at Chelsea appearing to stall, he went talk to Frank Lampard about leaving the club on loan. Now at Fulham, he has a chance to resurrect his career.

“We had an honest conversation. I was the one who initiated it. I felt like it was paramount that I played a lot of football this season.”

The summer spending spree has seen the Blues sign a number of players. With competition for spots high, chances were always going to be at a premium.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek hailed as 'world class' as Chelsea midfielder joins Fulham on season-long loan

Moving to Fulham will at the very least see him play more. While the Cottagers look destined for the drop, Loftus-Cheek could give himself a new lease of life at Chelsea.

The 24-year-old is fully confident of his abilities and sees a future for himself at Stamford Bridge.

“I still see my future at Chelsea.”

His spell at Craven Cottage is at best a platform for him to showcase his abilities. Time will tell whether he will succeed in his endeavours.

This will not be the first time that Loftus-Cheek will have used a loan spell to his advantage. The last time he did that, it sparked his international career to existence.

Hopefully, it will be a case of history repeating itself once again.

Transfer News: Italian trio keen on signing Chelsea outcast

emerson palmieri

Serie A trio keen on Chelsea star Emerson Palmieri

According to Sky Sports Italia via Calciomercato (h/t Mirror), A host of Serie A clubs are interested in Chelsea star Emerson Palmieri.

The Italian has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge since the arrival of Ben Chilwell. While Marcos Alonso’s falling out with Frank Lampard could work in his favour, Chilwell is the undisputed first choice in the position.

The 26-year-old failed to make an impact when given opportunities last season. He was expected to leave the club this summer but eventually stayed put.

Emerson Palmieri Provides Update on Chelsea Future Following Speculation Over Return to Italy

Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, now at Inter Milan, was keen to reunite with the defender. Despite that not coming to fruition, Inter remain interested in Emerson.

They will, however, face competition from local rivals Juventus and Napoli. Emerson is familiar with the Italian league, having spent four years in the country with Palermo and Roma.

Juventus were keen on securing Emerson on loan last summer. However, the deal failed to materialize.

Given the peripheral importance he has at Chelsea, him moving to Serie-A would give him more opportunities for garnering playtime. With the Euros set to be held next summer, it would surely help his case in being selected for the Italian squad.

Emerson has made 57 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions. During this time, he has scored one goal and assisted five more. (h/t Transfermarkt)

One aspect that could scupper a deal is Alonso’s fall from grace. With the Spaniard somewhat sidelined, Emerson can be considered as the backup to Chilwell.

Unless Alonso’s stature is restored or we bring in another player, it remains to be seen if Lampard is willing to risk let Emerson go.
