Chelsea are set to reward Brazilian winger Willian with a two-year deal after the star declined a move to Manchester United (h/t Metro).

The report claims that Chelsea usually offer a one-year rolling contract to every player over 30. However, Willian, who turned 30 recently, will be given a two-year deal due to his “loyalty” to the London club.

The report further adds that the winger earns £120,000-a-week at the club and should see a 20% rise in his wages after the new deal.

The 30-year-old has two years left on his current deal and Chelsea could sell their star if they fail to agree on new terms by the coming summer (h/t Metro).

Maurizio Sarri also wants the club to offer Willian a new deal and is fond of the player (h/t Metro).

The Brazilian started in our 3-0 win over Huddersfield on opening day, recording an assist.

Willian was one of our more consistent players last season as he scored six goals and provided seven assists in 36 Premier League games.

The 30-year-old certainly had an interesting summer as he was linked with a move to United (h/t Metro) but keeping him at the Bridge is a great decision by the club.

The winger might be 30 but he still has a lot to offer. His energy should work well in Sarri’s Chelsea and he must aim to continue performing like this in the coming weeks.
