Sarri set to hold talks with key Chelsea duo as deadline day edges closer

Eden Hazard

Maurizio Sarri will hold talks with Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois and tell them they are not going to leave Chelsea this season, according to the Daily Mail.

Courtois has been linked with a £35million move to Real Madrid while Hazard too is a target for the La Liga giants as per Daily Mail.

The Blues are not looking to sell either player ahead of Sarri’s first season in charge and both players are expected to be back in training soon.

Chelsea will face Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday but the Belgian duo will not participate in the clash.

The Italian has indicated that he would speak to the pair and hold talks before the Community Shield match on Sunday.

Thibaut Courtois

While Hazard still has two years left on his contract, Chelsea are trying to tie him down to a new deal worth £300,000-a-week. The situation with Courtois is a little complicated as the Belgian is entering the final 12 months of his contract.

If Chelsea are unable to extend the deal for the keeper, Courtois will leave us for free next season. Hazard would be crucial to our team while Courtois is still regarded as one of the best keepers in the world.
