New Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri sees Tiemoue Bakayoko as surplus to requirements and the Italian wants to sell the former Monaco man, according to the Daily Star.
Bakayoko joined Chelsea in a £40m deal from Monaco last season but failed to light up Stamford Bridge and actually struggled to perform under Antonio Conte.
The French midfielder did score 3 times and provide 3 assists for us but Sarri could sell the midfielder after having signed Jorginho from Napoli.
While Bakayoko struggled for us last time around, he was not the only underperforming player. Sarri seems to be setting up a summer sale as a couple of other stars in Alvaro Morata and Gary Cahill face the chop too.
It will be tough to get a similar price for Bakayoko as to what we paid Monaco last summer but there is no point in trying to keep him if we are not planning to use him.
We have made a few poor signings under Conte but the report from the Daily Star claims that Bakayoko was a player that the Italian wanted.
Sarri will want to have his own players at the club and it was expected that there would be a number of changes. But we have very little time on our hands given that the transfer window shuts on 9th August.

The Chelsea management have to be smart in their dealings and bring the right players to thrive under Sarri, else we could be in for another below average season at the Bridge.
