Major summer overhaul on the cards at Chelsea as 9 players could leave Stamford Bridge – reports

Chelsea’s defence of their Premier League crown hasn’t gone as they would have expected it to as Manchester City are set to claim the trophy. On the other hand, we are even in danger of missing out on a top-four finish.

We recently lost to Tottenham at home for the first time in 28 years and a report from the Telegraph suggests that a number of players are set to leave the Stamford Bridge club along with manager Antonio Conte.

Big Names Set To Leave Stamford Bridge

The two big names who could be on their way out are Belgians Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois. The keeper has been looking for a move away and he could get his wish next season as he looks to continue playing in the Champions League.

Hazard too has been linked with a move away and would be following his compatriot as long as Chelsea receive a huge offer for the former Lille attacker.

More attackers are in line to leave the Stamford Bridge club with Pedro, Michy Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud all looking set to end their careers with the Blues.

Pedro has just one more year left on his contract and the London club want to look at other alternatives who are younger. Giroud has not hit the ground running for Chelsea and his move from Arsenal hasn’t paid off while Batshuayi has been a hit with Borussia Dortmund.

Although Chelsea will hope that Batshuayi’s form will continue, it looks like the striker will not accept the role of a second fiddle at the club.

One midfielder who could go out is Cesc Fabregas. The former Barcelona man has looked out of sorts this season and with one year left on his contract, he too could be cut out from the squad.

When we look at the defence, Gary Cahill and David Luiz seem set to leave too. Joining them is Kurt Zouma, who has impressed at Stoke on loan but wants to play regular first-team football should he return to the club next season.

Cahill and Luiz have had their issues with injuries and it seems like a major reshuffle of the squad is on the cards at Stamford Bridge.
