Chelsea have been chasing Romelu Lukaku for some time now and if reports are to be believed then the Blues are still determined to sign the player this summer despite Everton’s reluctance and the £75m price tag for the player.
Further, the recent reports suggest that the Toffees are ready to hold talks with the player and his agent Mino Raiola over the extension of his contract at the Merseyside.
Although Lukaku is keen on returning back to the Bridge having left the club in 2014, and this can work as an advantage for the Blues who are finding it tougher by the day to convince Everton to let go of the player.
Chelsea are determined to sign the player despite having signed his teammate Michy Batshuayi in the squad and reports suggest that the Blues are now preparing to table an improved bid for the 23-year-old.
While Chelsea are patient in their pursuit for Lukaku, the Blues are also looking out for Mauro Icardi as a back-up if Lukaku deal does not materialize.
