Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic has been linked with Juventus since some time now as the Serie A club has been looking to sign the player this summer, however Chelsea’s new manager Antonio Conte has warned Juve against moving any further into the deal as he states that the player is not for sale.

“He is not for sale and I know with work he can become a fantastic midfielder, one of the best in the world,” Conte said in a news conference ahead of Chelsea’s game against Liverpool in the International Champions Cup.

“He is a very important player for me, he is very important in my idea of football. He knows this and I’m delighted by his attitude and behaviour and I see in him commitment.”

The Italian manager has shown his support for the 27 year old after many believed that the player is set for a move out of the Blues this summer after sub-standard form last season. The same has been further pushed after N’Golo Kante’s move to the Stamford Bridge as Chelsea second signing of the summer.

The Blues manager believes that he can lead Matic into bigger and better things wherein his career is concerned and Conte believes that with some hard work the player can be a fantastic midfielder.
