According to Willian, in an interview, Alexandre Pato is really keen to sign for Chelsea in the summer. With the new boss Antonio Conte coming in the summer we may see some major shuffle, which could work in either way for the Brazilian.
Willian, who has had a terrific season, has been the only consistent performer in Chelsea this season and now he has revealed that Alexandre Pato, his countryman, would like to stay back at Stamford Bridge. Pato arrived in the January transfer window and since then has made only two appearances in the Premier League. However, both Willian and Guus Hiddink has praised the player and his attitude towards the team.
With Diego Costa’s future uncertain and reports of the Spaniard wanting to return to Madrid, Pato may be a good option for Chelsea as they will require depth in their squad for next season. Now, whether he stays or goes is completely in Conte’s hands.
