Who Is the best midfielder you have ever played with?
If the above question was aimed at Cesc Fabregas then we would assume that we know the answer even before he replied. The Spanish midfielder has played with Xavi, Iniesta and Xabi Alonso. All three of them have been one of the best midfielders in the world at some point or the other.
However, we would be wrong to assume that to be Fabregas’ answer. His top two choices of midfielder to partner with is Flamini and Gilberto Silva. Crazy, right? We know!
Iniesta has won seven La Liga titles, four Champions League, two European championships and a world cup. Flamini on the other hand has three FA Cups and a Serie A title. Gilberto Silva has a world cup and a Premier League title. Even if we added the tittle tally of Flamini and Silva it would not equal Iniesta’s.
But well, Cesc, it is your choice of company. Not ours.
