Chelsea Player Ratings From Their 1-1 Draw vs Stoke City – Traore, The Only Star

Chelsea took their unbeaten streak in the league to 13 games after securing a 1-1 draw against Stoke City at Stamford Bridge. The blues will be disappointed to concede a goal as late as in the 85th minute. Bertrand Traore scored a brilliant goal in the first half and Mame Diouf equalized for the Potters. It was an even game all round and can be said that the draw was a fair result for both the sides.

By securing a draw, Stoke are still 3 points ahead of the blues. Let us take a look at the player ratings from the match at the bridge:

1. Thibaut Courtois: 5.5

Made some decent saves of Arnautovic and Shaqiri in the second half but could have done better for the goal that was conceded.

2. Cesar Azpilicueta: 6

The Spaniard was useful going forward but lacked his usual defensive stability that he brings to the team.

3. Branislav Ivanovic: 6

The captain for today was solid at times but his partnership with Cahill is not that dependable at times. He has to improve for the tie against PSG.

4. Gary Cahill: 5.5

The England international was good to negate the aerial threat but was beaten easily at times by pace. Seem to lack belief in himself at the moment.

5. Baba Rehman: 5.5

His crossing was good but defensively needs to be more sound. The youngster will improve with time.

6. John Obi Mikel: 6

He provided good cover for the defence but could not contribute on the attacking front.

7. Nemanja Matic: 6.5

It was an impressive performance by the Serbian and also provided an assist which is very rare from him.

8. Willian: 7

Brilliant display as always by the Brazilian star and kept Jack Butland busy throughout the game.

9. Oscar: 5.5

Another average performance by the little maestro and also was unnecessarily booked for the second time in a row. Looked out of his depth at times.

10. Eden Hazard: 6

Lacked the final delivery but was a decent run in for the Belgian on his 200th appearance for the Club. Substituted early to keep him fresh for the Champions League tie.

11. Bertrand Traore: 7.5

The youngster was provided with an unique chance and he didn’t disappoint. Scored an amazing goal and was confident on the field.

Subs: Ruben Loftus-Cheek: 6

Tested the opponent’s goalkeeper with a stinging shot and was pretty decent all round.

Loic Remy: 5

Justified Hiddink’s decision to give a start to the youngster ahead of him. Was really poor at times.

Cesc Fabregas: 5

Played very little but was uninspired throughout his cameo. Needs to up his game ahead of the busy week ahead.

Man of the match: Bertrand Traore.
