It’s Not All Been Good In The Abramovich Era.

Over the last few years in English football, we have seen scandal after scandal.

Twitter outbursts, racism allegations, and even the odd sleeping with a teammate’s wife. Missing something? Ah yes, drugs!

Not wanting to be outdone by cycling and Lance Armstrong’s problems, I’m here to re-introduce a certain Romanian into the minds of English football fans.

We Need You, Lukaku.

When things have been going right for us this season, they have been going fantastically. We beat both Spurs and Arsenal on their own patches, have been scoring for fun, and so far, have won seven games from nine in the league.

However, it doesn’t take a genius to work out where we are struggling. Just Torres and Sturridge remain our out-and-out forwards, whilst Romelu Lukaku enjoys a decent loan spell in the Midlands, with West Bromwich Albion.

From The Opposition Corner…… Manchester United

So, we’ve already heard from our Chelsea fans before todays game, and now it is time to head to the away end, and get the thoughts of our two Manchester United fans.

With their bitter rivals Man City sandwiched between us in the league, a win for us could put daylight between us again, but a loss, and it’s a massive 3-way battle between us.

We spoke to Mark (@Mark_Bartle) and Jamie (@JCBLegend) and got their thoughts ahead the massive clash at the Bridge this afternoon.

A View From The Bridge……. Manchester United.

Its been a mixed week for the Chelsea faithful, a fabulous 4-2 victory over Tottenham got us all excited, before a 2-1 defeat away at Shakhtar Donetsk in midweek really sobered us up.

Our man Ashwat (@ashwat) got the result right, as he plumped for a 2-1 Chelsea win, and we welcome him back today, alongside Naunkoo Thekash, to give us some opinions and some insight into the big game this Sunday, as we face Sir Alex Ferguson, and his Manchester United team.

Saturday’s Predictions

Arsenal vs QPR (15:00 GMT)

Two of our London rivals face each other day, and Chelsea fans will be hoping that QPR can hold the hosts to at least a draw, as they did against us a few weeks back.

Arsenal may be 10 points behind us, but only the foolish would rule them out of a title challenge this early, especially with a tough month of fixtures to come for us before the New Year.

Why I Believe Chelsea Can’t Make History This Season

If last years Champions League victory was a miracle, then a second successive one, would truly be an act of god for the Stamford Bridge side.

Despite possessing arguably a better team this term, as well as having the mental ability to win the trophy, whilst surrounded by the problems we faced last year, I think this year will see one of the Spanish giants, Barcelona or Real Madrid pick up the coveted prize.

Time For The Emergence of New Heroes

It hasn’t been the greatest couple of weeks for both Ashley Cole and John Terry, but they will no doubt put it behind them as they look to drive Chelsea to a first Premier League title since 2010.

However, it will be their last chance in the Chelsea blue, as Roman and Roberto’s new age policy is right in play now, meaning neither will be likely to get an extension to their current deals, with Cole’s ending this season, and Terry’s next year. Midfield talisman Frank Lampard will also be likely leaving, possibly even in January, with LA Galaxy interested.

From The Opposition Corner…… Tottenham

We spoke to our Chelsea fans earlier today, and got their views on Saturdays fixture. Now we cross over to the enemy, to get views from two of their fans. Ben, a long-life Spurs fan, and Cameron, a more recent fan of the Hotspur, gave their views and predictions on the big lunchtime kick-off.

Our Chelsea fans were split, one going for a Chelsea win, the other predicting a draw. Its bound to be close, but who is going to come up trumps, lets see what the opposition fans think.

Our Spurs fans can both be found on twitter, Ben is @BenMcAleer1, and Cam is @Cameron_Missen.
